Hello, our lovely readers! It’s us, the creators of your new favourite blog about science-fiction TV shows. We thought it was only right for us to formally introduce ourselves to you, since you took your time to visit and read the articles on our blog.

In this blog post, we will tell you more about ourselves and what inspired us to bring you this sci-fi blog. We hope to also hear from you in the future. Thank you!

So, Who Are We

We are a group of friends who actually became friends because of our mutual love for science fiction. We met at university two years ago when we all joined the Science Fiction Society. We are all very glad that the university had one and allowed us to spend every Thursday evening arguing about Doctor Who while drinking pints.

Why Create Such a Blog

Our science fiction society had the so-called Nerd Games every semester where we formed teams with four people per team and took part in various trivia games. The team with the overall best score from all games won the grand prize, which was, quite obviously, fan merch from famous sci-fi shows and movies.

Our team won two consecutive times during our second year at the club, which made us realise that we worked very well as a team. We thought that we could make use of this and started thinking of ways to do it.

Our first idea was to start a YouTube channel where we could upload video essays discussing the latest sci-fi productions. These types of videos are very popular nowadays, but it didn’t take long before we realised that none of us wanted to stay in front of a camera for more than 5 seconds. We are quite the introverts.

This is why we decided to do what our ancient ancestors did – start a blog. This way we could hide behind the computer screen and we could also pump out more content, because all you need to do is write an article.

Why a Blog About Sci-Fi TV Shows

The reason why we made this blog so specific is because there has been a renewed interest in televised science fiction. Think The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Star Trek, and even Rick and Morty. Sci-fi has been dominating our TV screens for a while now, and we are all there for it.

We might create another blog discussing science-fiction movies in the future, depending on how well this blog is received.
